But because you also have to keep up with the times, we’ve added a few modern touches.
First, we replaced the batteries with a rechargeable lithium battery offering up to 12 hours of continuous listening. More convenient and more environmentally friendly. We also integrated a Bluetooth 5.1 connection so you can connect the player to your headphones or wireless speaker in just a few seconds. It may not sound like much, but it’s a world first!
On the audio side, our engineers worked tirelessly to optimize the mechanism so it comes as close as possible to the best cassette players of the past. And the result speaks for itself. Today, you won’t find better on the new market!
Finally, we paid special attention to the design and the materials used. Just like the very first Sony Walkman, the TPS-L2, we avoided plastic and instead chose an aluminum case for a “cool touch” and a true feeling of quality. The result is a cassette player with a clean and elegant design that will stand the test of time. The kind of object you’d almost want to display on a shelf in your living room.

FRENCH SAVOIR-FAIRE
Our engineers leveraged their full expertise to maximize the potential of the only cassette mechanism still available on the market and push its performance beyond standard expectations. The result: an extended playback frequency response from 100 Hz – 5,500 Hz to 30 Hz – 14,500 Hz ± 3 dB, delivering richer, more detailed, and more faithful sound reproduction.
The recording circuit now features automatic level control combined with a dedicated bias oscillator, significantly reducing distortion and improving overall recording quality. Motor speed regulation has been refined to ensure greater playback stability. Wow and flutter have also been reduced through the integration of a heavier brass flywheel, replacing the former plastic wheel and metal washer assembly, along with the implementation of strict quality control procedures. Playback signal-to-noise ratio has been improved by using a shielded magnetic head and a double-shielded motor, minimizing unwanted interference.
Finally, an integrated “anti-pop noise” system ensures quieter operation when pressing Play and Stop, providing a smoother and more comfortable user experience.
