  • Is it possible to capture the audio signal from a cassette via the headphone output to digitize it on a computer?

As long as you have suitable PC software, it can digitize the audio signal from the tape.

  • Are your devices equipped with a Dolby noise reduction system?

Our players do not include a Dolby system. However, the signal-to-noise ratio during playback has been improved thanks to the use of a shielded magnetic head and a double-shielded motor, reducing unwanted interference.

  • Is it possible to play old audio cassettes with your players?

es. The WE-001 and GB-001 players are compatible with both older and more recent cassette tapes. Regularly clean the playback head, pinch roller, and capstan to maintain optimal performance. Older tapes, especially Type I, may leave residues that can build up and damage the mechanism.

  • Can I play 120-minute cassettes with the WE-001 player?

120-minute (C-120) cassettes are not recommended. Their thinner and longer tape carries a higher risk of malfunction or jamming, which may damage the player’s mechanism.

  • How can I determine the input level when connecting to an audio source for recording?

The WE-001 has an automatic recording level function. You can input a signal of around ~200 mVrms, and the device will automatically adjust the recording level internally. If the source is a smartphone, we recommend setting the volume to 100%.

  • Can I record using a microphone, with an acoustic guitar and a microphone as the audio source?

The WE-001 records only line-level signals (~200 mVrms). To record with a microphone, you will need a preamplifier to boost the microphone signal from about 1 mV to 200 mV. To do this, you can use any inexpensive audio mixer.

  • Is the sound mono or stereo?

    Stereo, of course!

  • I am a store owner / distribution center / buyer / sales agent — how can I get in touch to sell We Are Rewind cassette players?

First of all, thank you for your interest in working with We Are Rewind! For any questions regarding commercial partnerships, please contact us at: contact@wearerewind.fr

  • How long does it take to fully charge the device?

For both the WE-001 player and the GB-001 Blaster, a full charge typically takes between 4 and 5 hours, depending on the initial battery level.

  • How long does the battery last?

    Up to 10 hours.

  • What should I do when the battery is dead?

The battery has an estimated lifespan of 4 to 5 years. It cannot be replaced, but you can power the device using an external battery.

  • How does the Bluetooth 5.1 connection work with wireless headphones or a speaker?

Simply press the Bluetooth button to start pairing. Once the blue indicator light stays solid, the connection is established.

  • Why won’t my WE-001 cassette player connect via Bluetooth?

If you’re having trouble pairing your player with a Bluetooth device:
    • Turn off other nearby Bluetooth devices.
    • Turn on the player’s Bluetooth first, then the device you want to connect.
    • Start playback during pairing.

If you still experience issues after following these steps, please contact our team via our contact form.

  • If I order from the United Kingdom, do I have to pay customs fees?

For the United Kingdom, customs fees are included in the sale price.

  • Are the products available in my country or region?

If your country does not appear in the list on our website, please contact us via our contact form so we can direct you to one of our retailers.

  • How can I return an item for a refund?

We hope you are fully satisfied with your purchase from WE ARE REWIND. However, if needed, you may return one or more unopened items within 30 days of delivery for an exchange or refund.

Items must be unused, in perfect condition, and returned with all original labels attached. Please note that return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

To initiate a return, kindly complete our contact form.

  • What should I do if I receive a defective item?

If, unfortunately, you receive a defective item, please submit your request via our Contact page and include a photo and/or video. We will then open a process to handle your claim. Response time is typically 0 to 5 business days.

  • Is there a warranty for my player?

    Of course. A 2-year warranty.

  • Is the WE-001 cassette player compatible with my car?

Compatibility depends on the type of vehicle and the audio system installed, but in most cases it works.

  • Where can I buy spare parts?

Spare parts are not available for sale. If you encounter an issue with your player, please contact us via our contact form.

  • Can I make modifications to my cassette player?

Yes. But we do not recommend it. In addition, it will no longer be under warranty...

  • What improvements have been made to the WE-001 cassette player mechanism?

Our engineers have optimized the only cassette mechanism still available on the market to significantly improve its performance. The playback frequency response has been extended from 100 Hz–5,500 Hz to 30 Hz–14,500 Hz ± 3 dB, delivering richer and more accurate sound reproduction.

The recording circuit now features automatic level control combined with a dedicated bias oscillator, reducing distortion and improving recording quality. Motor speed regulation has also been enhanced to ensure more stable playback.

Wow and flutter have been reduced thanks to the use of a heavier brass flywheel, replacing the previous plastic wheel and metal washer assembly, along with strict quality control procedures. The signal-to-noise ratio during playback has been improved through a shielded magnetic head and a double-shielded motor, limiting interference.

Finally, an integrated “anti-pop noise” system ensures quieter operation when pressing the Play and Stop buttons, providing a smoother and more comfortable user experience.
