THE CASSETTE PLAYER REINVENTED

The 80s icon returns—reimagined for today with the WE-001.

FRENCH SAVOIR-FAIRE

Our engineers leveraged their full expertise to maximize the potential of the only cassette mechanism still available on the market and push its performance beyond standard expectations. The result: an extended playback frequency response from 100 Hz – 5,500 Hz to 30 Hz – 14,500 Hz ± 3 dB, delivering richer, more detailed, and more faithful sound reproduction.

The recording circuit now features automatic level control combined with a dedicated bias oscillator, significantly reducing distortion and improving overall recording quality. Motor speed regulation has been refined to ensure greater playback stability. Wow and flutter have also been reduced through the integration of a heavier brass flywheel, replacing the former plastic wheel and metal washer assembly, along with the implementation of strict quality control procedures. Playback signal-to-noise ratio has been improved by using a shielded magnetic head and a double-shielded motor, minimizing unwanted interference.

Finally, an integrated “anti-pop noise” system ensures quieter operation when pressing Play and Stop, providing a smoother and more comfortable user experience.

LIFE IS BETTER

IN STEREO

Rediscover the full richness of analog sound with true stereo playback. Every instrument finds its place, every voice retains its texture, creating an immersive and authentic listening experience faithful to the original spirit of cassette tapes. Whether you’re bringing your favorite albums back to life or recording your own mixtapes, enjoy a balanced, warm, and dynamic sound signature. Stereo adds depth and spatial dimension, turning every listening session into a vivid and personal moment.

FREEDOM, RESTORED

The WE-001 cassette player features a built-in rechargeable battery providing up to 12 hours of continuous playback. Free yourself from disposable batteries and enjoy your music wherever you are—at home, on the move, or while traveling. Charging is simple via USB-C using the included cable, ensuring convenient and modern everyday use.

CONNECTED…

OR 100% ANALOG

Because enjoying life also means listening in step with your time, the WE-001 features a built-in Bluetooth 5.1 transmitter. Stream your cassettes wirelessly to Bluetooth headphones or speakers, or connect it to a compatible amplifier to experience your analog tapes with modern convenience. For purists, the 3.5 mm mini-jack headphone output preserves the pleasure of wired listening, staying true to the original analog experience.

AN ICON REIMAGINED

The WE-001 draws direct inspiration from the iconic 1980s aesthetic and the legendary Sony TPS-L2, Sony’s very first Walkman, while meeting today’s manufacturing standards. Its aluminum chassis provides strength, durability, and a premium finish. The clean, perfectly balanced design makes it a distinctive object—both functional and elegant. The circular transparent window on the front—our “French touch”—reveals the cassette in motion, a bold visual signature that proudly embraces its analog heritage.
